We are currently seeking a Controller to lead our accounting team and support the financial health of our organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee daily accounting operations, including A/P, A/R, payroll, and general ledger functions
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Maintain compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal financial controls
- Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Manage daily cash activites, fund transfers, and short-term investment portfolio
- Manage and mentor the accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance reviews
- Drive process improvements and implement system enhancements to optimize efficiency
- Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders
- Present financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all financial practices
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in accouting, finance, or related field
- Minium seven (7) years of progressive accounting experience
- At least three (3) years of supervisory experience
- High integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule excedding 40 hours/week as needed
Preferred:
- Experience in the architecture, engineering, or construction industry
- Proficiency in accounting software (Excel, Ajera, VantagePoint)
