Inspired by the mountains and caves of Montserrat in Catalonia, where St. Ignatius underwent his spiritual awakening, the path to the chapel is designed as a metaphorical pilgrimage. Visitors move through a low, dark, compressed corridor that opens suddenly into a space of light; a journey from contemplation into clarity. From anywhere on campus, the glass chapel serves as a beacon.
Designed to support spiritual rhythm and everyday mentorship, the residence reflects values of hospitality, humility, and humanity. Timeless materials are paired with mass timber and contemporary forms to reflect both heritage and progress. Warm finishes, natural light, and a domestic scale foster comfort and connection. Here, Jesuits live with, not above the student body.
