Girls Inc. of Omaha is part of a network that is building a new generation of strong, smart, and bold leaders in over 350 cities across the United States and Canada. Girls Inc. of Omaha has clubs in North Omaha and South Omaha. The existing South club serves about 50 girls, which is not nearly enough to cover the needs of the community.
Holland Basham partnered with Girls Inc. of Omaha to site-select, design, and build a new safe, active, and educational harbor. The new Girls Inc. Emma Lozier Center will increase capacity from 50 to about 300 girls and expand opportunities for the families in the surrounding community. The new facility will provide up-to-date resources and spaces to equip girls to be strong, smart, and bold.
Holland Basham assembled a team of qualified and talented women to design, engineer, document, and construct this building; in doing so, this building will serve as a tangible example of what women can accomplish. It will stand as a testament to womanhood that will empower young girls for years to come.
