Holland Basham Architects is an established, mid-size firm seeking a talented designer to join our dynamic and creative interior design team. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to be part of exciting projects in a variety of sectors, including corporate office, higher education, multi-family, healthcare, retail, and more. Responsibilities
- Programming and space planning
- Facilities planning
- Materials specifications
- Preparing design and construction documents
- Furniture procurement
- Corporate branding
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from an accredited college or university required
- 5+ years of experience in a commercial architectural or architectural/engineering firm
- Certification as a licensed professional is preferred but not required
Qualifications:
- Experience planning and designing interior aspects of large or multiple projects
- Experience in a wide variety of commercial project types and sizes
- Experience in all phases of design and construction, including full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating interior design assignments
- Ability to develop appropriate concepts and approaches
- Subject matter expert on specific components of interior design
- Significant Revit experience (current version)
- Knowledgeable in the use of SketchUp
- Software proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications
- Outstanding client and team management skills and excellent customer service abilities
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Strong leadership and self-motivation skills and abilities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Physical Demands
- Constant keyboarding and use of a mouse
- Cutting samples and packaging materials
- Regularly lifts/moves up to 25 pounds
- Stationary position for prolonged periods
- Drive (or have transportation) to work and site visits
