As a project architect, you will:
- Hold a pivotal role in collaborating with the project team to translate design concepts into practical solutions while ensuring smooth execution.
- Report directly to the project manager on design progress, potential challenges, and any adjustments required to maintain project success.
- Oversee the creation of detailed architectural drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Review drawings and documents for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to project requirements before submission.
- Work closely with other members of the project team, including engineers, consultants, and contractors, to ensure a coordinated and integrated design solution that adheres to relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Present design concepts, discuss progress, gather feedback, and maintain a strong client relationship.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, identify and address any design-related issues, and ensure the project is being executed as planned.
- Respond to RFIs and change orders.
- Ensure all milestones and deadlines are met.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture from an accredited college or university required
- Master’s degree a plus
- Registered or on a solid path to registration
- 8+ years relevant experience
- Proficient in Revit
- Experience overseeing the technical aspects of complex projects and in strategic project planning
- Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction methods
- Ability to apply advanced architectural concepts and innovative solutions to projects
- Analytical skills to address complex design and technical challenges
- Excellent leadership skills demonstrated by the ability to lead project teams and mentor staff
- Excellent client management and customer service
- Strong communication, decision-making, and organizational skills
