Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Project Leadership and Quality Control: Leads design and technical execution of healthcare projects, coordinates code compliance reviews, manages staffing needs, and ensures deliverables meet firm and industry standards.
Client and Consultant Collaboration: Acts as the primary contact for clients and external consultants, presenting design concepts and integrating various technical inputs while representing the firm at community events.
Team Leadership and Project Management: Provides direct supervision, assigns tasks, manages healthcare-specific logistics, and maintains clear communication with project managers to ensure project success.
Professional Development and Business Growth: Engages in mentorship, continuous learning, and business development activities, contributing to firm growth and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
- Professional degree in architecture from an accredited institution.
- Registered or on a solid path to registration preferred.
- HCAI experience required.
- Typically requires 8 or more years of experience in an architectural firm or related field, with a significant portion in healthcare architecture, including the design and construction of hospitals, clinics, and other medical facilities.
- Proficiency in architectural design software (i.e., Revit, SketchUp, Speclink, Bluebeam).
- Proven ability to lead client presentations, manage multiple projects, and coordinate with various stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and internal teams.
- Analytical skills to address complex design and technical challenges.
- Extensive knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction methods.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a diverse group of clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work a schedule exceeding 40 hours per week, depending on project workflow and deadlines.
- Demonstrated commitment to team leadership, mentorship, and collaboration by maintaining a consistent in-office presence of at least 4-5 days per week to support staff development, facilitate client interactions, and lead project teams effectively.
