Remodel of existing classrooms to provide a better connection between Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Labs. The existing Physical Therapy lab was updated with new finishes throughout and updated power for flexible equipment and table locations. The new Occupational Therapy lab provided simulated home spaces for students to work with patients on day to day activities. Simulated spaces included a bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. A lift support system was provided throughout the simulated home space to help patients with movement. Different flooring conditions of porcelain tile, luxury vinyl tile and carpet were provided for patients to work with walking on different surfaces. A new classroom was planned with flexible furniture to adapt to different teaching needs. Between the labs and classrooms large sliding doors were provided to create a more open flowing space and connectivity between the rooms.
