Established in Omaha in 1989, Holland Basham Architects (HBA) has been planning and designing dynamic enviornments that support the community, strengthen culture, and maximize real estate value ever since. We have grown to over 75 employees in three office locations. At the heart of our success has been our commitment to thoughful, strategic growth.

Recently, we have charted a bold course for the company’s future, aligning our goals with our core values and our client’s evolving needs. To strengthen our market expertise, we’re announcing dedicated Market Sector Leaders who will help drive strategy, support business development, and strengthen client relationships in their respective markets.

Workplace

Brittany Miller – Director of Workplace

Brittany is the Director of Workplace at Holland Basham Architects, bringing 14 years of experience in architectural design and workplace strategy. With her extensive background as a project designer, she leads corporate clients through comprehensive workplace studies, retention and recruitment strategies, layout efficiency, and innovative design solutions tailored to their evolving needs.

Having partnered with several Fortune 500 companies, Brittany offers a unique, macro-level perspective on how workplace environments can drive business performance, employee engagement, and cultural alignment. She is a recognized thought leader in the field, continuously tracking emerging trends and translating data into actionable insights. Her ability to synthesize complex needs into clear, strategic design solutions reflects her deep empathy and commitment to achieving excellence on behalf of our clients.

Beyond her project work, Brittany is engaged in the industry and community. She actively contributes to organizations such as Girls Inc. and CREW, mentors junior designers, and founded HBA’s highly successful internship program.

Brandon Beatty – Director of Multifamily Housing

Brandon brings over 15 years of architectural experience with a strong background in commercial housing, residential, and hospitality projects. Since joining Holland Basham Architects in 2019, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership and technical expertise, recently earning a promotion to Director of Multifamily Housing.

In this role, Brandon serves as a trusted advisor to HBA’s housing clients, offering deep insight into operational efficiencies and data-driven strategies that contribute to successful project outcomes. He also leads a dedicated internal team focused on design innovation and exceeding our client’s expectations across a diverse portfolio—including affordable, student, and luxury housing developments.

Matt Neaderhiser – Director of Leading Industries

Matt leads several of HBA’s international leading industries and workplace design projects. In his 18 years with HBA, Matt has been instrumental in driving growth and innovation for the firm. Matt and his innovation team are continually researching, testing, and implementing the latest technologies to go beyond client expectations and provide unique experiences to all clients that we serve.

Education

We create dynamic and inspiring educational environments to foster learning, collaboration, and growth. From K-12 to higher education facilities, our designs prioritize adaptability, innovation, and the unique needs of students, educators, and communities, ensuring spaces that empower lifelong learning.

Sean Gibbons – Director of Education

Sean joined Holland Basham Architects in 2018 and now leads the firm’s education practice as Director of Education. He oversees client partnerships, educates the team on industry drivers, and manages a dedicated team focused on delivering innovative design solutions for educational environments—from early childhood centers to higher education institutions. His recent work includes the Jerome Nadal Jesuit Residence and the Heider College of Business at Creighton University. In addition to education, Sean brings a strong background in retail and hospitality design.

Collaboration requires three key pillars: communication, confidence, and trust. As Director of Education at Holland Basham, Sean leads our academic market sector and has helped create collaborative team environments for stakeholder-driven projects. In addition to architectural outcomes, Sean’s work includes research to establish principles and strategies for learning-centered design and historic storytelling on college campuses. He is an active member and contributor to SCUP as well as an executive board member for local preservation efforts in Omaha.

With over 25 years of experience, Sean has completed more than 150 planning, programming, and design initiatives.
